I provide individualized tutoring and one-on-one support for all of my students.
English and Writing Tutoring
My passion is English literature, and I love to share it with my students. High school English classes can be daunting and fast-paced, but I believe that every student can become an excellent writer with the right help. I aim to make reading and writing fun for my students. I’m extremely familiar with the US high school literature curriculum, and I read the books along with my students. Depending on the student’s needs, we might practice timed writing exercises, break down close-reading passages, or work through the essay-writing process together.
College Admissions Consultations
With a deep knowledge of the Ivy League and the education system in the United States, I help my students prepare for what will be expected of them in the college admissions process. By aiding them in gaining awards, honors, publication experience, and a strong background in writing for their admissions essays, I set my students up for success in the chimerical college landscape. Based in New York City, I am deeply familiar with the NYC Prep School circuit and personally attended Trinity School NYC on the Upper West Side. I have also had success globally, and I have helped students across four continents hit their goals in the college process.
Summer Programs
I help your child find and apply to prestigious summer programs that suit their interests and allow them to demonstrate their skills.
I also provide extra, highly personalized support for my students over the summer in an English literature and writing “boot camp.” Preparation for new semesters is key, and my students’ confidence comes in knowing that they have the skills already.
Competitions and Awards
I’m committed to helping each student shine! A decade of teaching and tutoring experience and an extreme familiarity with the modern education landscape have given me the tools to find the right opportunities for each child, no matter their interests. Last year, all three of my students who chose to enter the John Locke National Essay Competition received awards for their work. I can help your child find the perfect opportunity to showcase their talents.
Executive Functioning Tutoring
For many years, I have worked with students with special needs to help them develop the tools for better focus, participation, and advocacy for themselves. Students with autism, ADHD, or other challenges will find a safe space in their sessions with me, building the tools to succeed.
